Overview
In Promptform, you can choose to show or hide the results of specific prompts using the eye icon. This is useful when you want to prevent certain prompt outputs from being displayed to end-users or temporarily disable results without deleting the prompt.
How to Show or Hide Prompts
1. Open the Prompts Section
Navigate to your app and click Edit to open the App Editor.
Click on the Prompts tab to view all available prompts.
2. Select the Prompts
Use the checkboxes on the left to select one or more prompts that you want to show or hide.
Selected prompts will be highlighted, and the toolbar at the top will become active.
3. Show or Hide Prompts
Click on the eye icon in the toolbar.
A dropdown menu will appear with two options:
✅ Show – Makes the selected prompt(s) visible, and the results will be displayed.
❌ Hide – Hides the selected prompt(s), and the results will not be shown.
4. Click Save to Apply Changes
After selecting Show or Hide, scroll down and click the Save button at the bottom of the page to apply the changes.
Changes will not take effect until they are saved.
How to Check Visibility Status
To quickly identify if a prompt is visible or hidden:
Look for the eye icon next to each prompt.
Green eye icon = Visible
Grey eye icon with a slash = Hidden
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. Will hiding a prompt affect its functionality?
No, hiding a prompt only controls whether the results are displayed. The prompt will still run in the background if it's part of the workflow.
2. Can I hide multiple prompts at once?
Yes, you can select multiple prompts and apply the Hide or Show action to all selected prompts.
3. How can I undo the hide action?
To make a hidden prompt visible again:
Select the hidden prompt.
Click the eye icon and choose Show.
Click Save to apply the changes.
Troubleshooting Tips
If a prompt result is not showing, double-check if the prompt is hidden.
Make sure to click Save after making any changes.
If changes do not reflect immediately, try refreshing the page.
