Overview
In Promptform, you can duplicate prompts within the same app or duplicate them to another app. This feature saves time when you need to reuse prompt setups or create variations without starting from scratch.
How to Duplicate Prompts
1. Open the Prompts Section
Navigate to your app and click Edit to open the App Editor.
Click on the Prompts tab to view the list of available prompts.
2. Select the Prompts to Duplicate
Use the checkboxes on the left to select one or more prompts you want to duplicate.
Once selected, the toolbar at the top will become active.
3. Duplicate Prompts
Click on the Duplicate icon (two overlapping squares).
The duplicated prompts will appear in the list with the same name followed by (copy).
✅ Note: Duplicated prompts are automatically saved, so no additional action is needed.
How to Duplicate Prompts to Another App
1. Open the Prompts Section
Go to the App Editor of the app containing the prompts you want to duplicate.
Click on the Prompts tab.
2. Select the Prompts to Duplicate
Use the checkboxes to select the prompts you want to duplicate to another app.
The toolbar will become active once the prompts are selected.
3. Click the App to Create Duplicate
Click on the dropdown arrow next to the Duplicate icon.
Select the app where you want to duplicate the prompts from the list that appears.
4. Confirm Duplication
After selecting the target app, a confirmation modal will appear asking:
⚠️ “Are you sure you want to duplicate prompt to the app?”Click OK to proceed or Cancel to stop the action.
5. Prompts Duplicated Successfully
Once confirmed, the prompts will be duplicated to the selected app.
Open the target app and go to the Prompts section to verify the duplicated prompts.
✅ Note: Duplicated prompts to another app are automatically saved after confirmation.

1. Will duplicating a prompt copy all its settings?
Yes, all prompt settings, including the model, system prompt, and configurations, will be duplicated.
2. Can I duplicate prompts to multiple apps at once?
No, prompts can only be duplicated to one app at a time.

No, the model and all associated settings will be carried over during duplication.

If prompts do not appear in the target app, refresh the page or check if the correct app was selected.
